Breakfast is one of our favorite meals.
You might remember us shouting our love of breakfast from the rooftops when we shared our recipes for overnight oats and pumpkin waffles. But we also have a particular fondness for pancakes around here. The other day, we talked about protein powders for protein shakes and smoothies. But the truth is protein powder is highly versatile and can be incorporated into many recipes. One of our favorite ways to get an added boost in the morning and jumpstart our day is with protein pancakes.
Here is one of our favorite protein pancake recipes for you to incorporate your favorite protein powder into.
- 1 cup raw oats
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons preferred sweetener
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1. Combine all ingredients and blend until combined into batter
- 2. Then pour onto a hot grill and cook like a normal pancake.
- 3. Serve with your preferred topping – syrup and butter, fresh fruit and honey, or your favorite nut butter!
