Want To Make Your Smoothies Cooler? Try These 3 Additions

Smoothies. Raise your hand if they are your go-to breakfast or lunch meals. With their versatility and ability to be filling while being nutritious, we approve of that decision. 

But did you know outside of all the combinations of banana-berry-nut butter you can make, there are other things to throw in your smoothie to give it an extra boost? Well, if you didn’t, we’re here to share with you three of our favorite additions to smoothies. Think of it as taking your smoothie from Monday to Friday vibes in the matter of seconds. We know, it sounds pretty great. 

Here’s the proof.


Matcha Green Tea 

Smoothie

Whoa, slow down, green tea in your precious smoothie? Yes. Matcha Green Tea is a great a way to add catechins to your day, which are beneficial substances that are naturally present in Matcha tea. Plus, Matcha gives you a naturally awakened feeling, without the excess caffeine found in coffee!

Try This Recipe – 
  • 1 Cup Pineapples 
  • 2 Frozen Bananas
  • Large Handful Spinach
  • 2 Tsp. Pure Matcha Tea
  • 1 cup (240ml) Light Coconut Milk

Collagen

Smoothies

One of the more popular substances in the wellness world, Collagen is a great addition to any smoothie. It is naturally found within the connective tissue of our skin, and helps in myriad ways. This substance declines when you reach your mid-20s, so adding a scoop to your smoothie will do good things!

Try This One Out –
  • Frozen Banana
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk 
  • Scoop of Cocoa Powder
  • 1.5 Tbsp. Nut Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Ultra Collagen Powder Type I & III

 


Mushroom Powder 

Smoothie

We’ve touted about the benefits of mushrooms before, and we’re back to give them yet another boost. Adding mushrooms to your smoothie won’t do much to the taste, and depending on the type you use, you’ll be packing some serious benefits. Fungi is a a good source of selenium, protein and vitamin C. So, give them a try, we’re sure you’ll love the results. 

Here’s a recipe –
  • 2 *Opened* Capsules Triple Mushroom Extract Complex 
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • Frozen Banana
  • 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
