The Top 3 Reasons You Need To Stock Up On House Plants, Today!
Indoor plants seem to be literally everywhere these days. Walk into your favorite café and you’ll see a variety of ferns, aluminum plants, succulents. This décor concept is with good reason. Plants are not only a great way to add a pop of color into any space, they also provide countless benefits.
Green Thumb, Green Home:
Having plants inside your home helps the air quality. They act as natural filters to absorb any unwanted particles in the air. While they aren’t miracle workers, research has shown that low levels of pollutants can be removed by way of your plant.
Breathe With Me:
Plants are known for their photosynthesis process, in which they take in Carbon Dioxide and put out Oxygen. This, in turn, allows for a constant flow of oxygen in your space which is of course healthy. While most plants exhibit the reverse process at night, aka they product Co2, plants like succulents and orchids do not. So, place a bunch in your room and enjoy their oxygen-based company!
Attention, Attention!:
Plants help you focus. While this may sound absurd, it’s backed by research. In a study done, participants were asked to complete a Reading Span Test in which they had to recall the last word in a sentence, followed by a proofreading task. The results found that those in a room with desks that had four plants had improved performance than those that were placed in a room with no plants.
