Add This DIY Micellar Water Into Your Beauty Routine Starting Tonight
Bonjour! Today, we’re going to pretend to be French. Why? We’re talking all about Micellar Water which is a French girl’s favorite skincare weapon of choice.
Unfamiliar with it? Let’s break Micellar Water down.
This popular product is traditionally French. It was created when France’s water supply was too harsh to wash with, and when other cleansing options were costly. The result of this dire situation was the creation of Micellar Water. This “water” strips away dirt and grime due to its micelles or oil bubbles. These bubbles attach to the dirt, and cleanses the skin. The outcome a freshly cleansed face, sans the suds.
There are myriad ways to use this inventive product. It can be used as a cleanser or pre-cleanser. As a cleanser, simply apply it to a cotton ball, and rub around your face. As a pre-cleanser, use it before washing with the foamy stuff. Its versatility makes it the perfect on-the-go item for traveling, since it’s lightweight, and an all-in-one fix.
Viola! We covered the history and use; Now let’s cover the recipe!
