Sometimes, You Just Need To Keep Your Inner Peace. Here’s How To…
Are you currently in a state where you’re running around like crazy, or over working yourself to the point of exhaustion? While hustling to make your dreams come true or to get everything done in a given day is admirable, it certainly can take a toll on your health–both physically and mentally.
If your life has reached this point, it’s time to take a breather. Not that we’re trying to sound preachy, but wouldn’t it be great to just relax for once? Being able to maintain some sense of inner peace, or inner chill, is extremely important. Too much of anything can get overwhelming and it’s wise to press the reset button on your life sometimes.
Today we’re inviting you to press said button and offer you a few ways to do exactly that in the most manageable way.
Sit With Your Thoughts
Yes, sit with them. This may go against every website that promotes inner peace in the form of meditation. While we are firm believers in the art of meditating, as seen in our earlier posts, today we want to take a different spin on this. That would be through feeling, experiencing and releasing your thoughts. If you’re stressed out, think of all the items that are causing the stress and make a tactical plan to tackle them. If you’re upset and can’t pinpoint a single cause, take a moment and list out possible influences. We guarantee that in doing this, you’ll get an answer and that answer will help bring some ease into your life. Thus, granting you inner peace.
One of the best ways to do this on a daily basis is by journaling. Keeping a journal and writing in it for a minimum of ten minutes a day lets you to express everything you need in an unconfined way. If you need more convincing on this, here’s a post from Tiny Buddha that provides five ways on how journaling can help you: Read it here.
Note: While you’re taking the time to sit with your thoughts and work things out. Pour 5-10 drops of our Peace Oil into your diffuser to bring a harmonious aroma to the air.
Have A Cup of Tea
Since things are already fast paced, the last thing you need is a pick-me-up. So there’s no need for coffee. The best way to soothe your soul is by sipping on a cup of your favorite tea. Tea has comforting properties that make it an enjoyable experience. Aside from the obvious ability to warm you, some blends can help to relax your mind through their aromatic herbs.
While you can easily steep a pre-made tea bag, why not use this time to be a little creative and make your own blend? Here’s one you can try from our How To Make Your Own Tea Blends post.
Simple Sleepy Time
1 Teaspoon Lavender Flowers *Dried
1 Teaspoon Chamomile Flowers Whole Organic (Egypt)
8 Ounces hot water
Place the bulk herbs in a tea diffuser. Let steep in a mug with the 8 oz. of hot water for 10 minutes. Drink up and welcome those friendly ZzZz’s.
Learn The Power Of Saying No
Are you happy with all of the assignments you have in your life right now? (Don’t lie, whatever your answer was initially is the truth!). If you’ve been saying yes to everything either out of excitement or obligation, it’s time to welcome the word no. After all, you’re just one person! Often we assume that saying no will be met by bad reactions, and sometimes, that may happen. Yet, if life revolved around the impact others had on us, we’d never grow. So forget what people will think and start paying attention to how saying yes has made you feel. Then, take on saying NO for a week and see what the difference is. Putting yourself first is always the best thing to do.
