We’re five days into the New Year, but for those of us that haven’t committed to a resolution, it’s not too late!
Committing to living a healthier or more active lifestyle is a great way to jumpstart the new year. We think it’s best to set attainable goals for yourself and try to make it as fun as possible so that your new resolution doesn’t feel like a chore. Here are five ideas that we recommend to start your year off right!
Start being more active
We came up with a list of our favorite ways to stay active in the winter and we believe that the start to making a lifestyle change is baby steps. Focus on these fun ways to change your fitness practices during the rest of the winter and as you do, start making a list of other ways to continue staying active when the weather gets nicer!
Commit to eating breakfast every day
We’re a big fan of breakfast and we know that it can be hard to make time for it when you’re rushing around to get ready. That’s why we’re a big fan of simple recipes, like overnight oats and shakes. When you have more time, make something fun – like waffles and these easy breakfast cups for special occasions.
Get a good night’s sleep every night
The hardest part of adjusting your sleep schedule is getting started. But by getting a good night’s sleep every night, you’ll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Soon, your body will adjust to your new sleep patterns and it will feel natural. Check out these tips for getting a better night’s sleep.
Start a new hobby
A new year is a great way to start something new that you’ve been meaning to try, whether you want to take a class to learn something new, read more often, or embark on a fun creative task, there’s no time like the present to start. We recommend looking into aromatherapy as a new hobby to try. Learning more about essential oils and exploring your favorite scents is easy with essential oil starter kits!
Become a Vegetarian
We know that this might seem like a huge endeavor. Making a major change in your eating habits can be hard, but there are ways to gradually begin practicing vegetarianism. If you’re considering cutting meat out of your diet, here are a few things to keep in mind and some useful hints for slowly getting started.
