…but what about the other orange delights? We’re talking about sweet potatoes!
Sweet potatoes, which are usually orange but sometimes purple, naturally contain beta-carotene and vitamin A, and are great baked, mashed, and in a wide array of recipes. Personally, we love them as crispy, crunchy chips!
Snag the recipe for these awesome fall-inspired sweet potato crisps below!
- 2-3 sweet potatoes (orange and purple if you can!)
- 3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil (we used Organic Coconut Oil)
- Your favorite seasoning!
- 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Peel your potatoes and slice thin, then add to a mixing bowl.
- 2. Add oil to the bowl and toss to coat the potatoes. Place on a baking sheets in an even layer and sprinkle with seasonings.
- 3. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, then flip and finish baking for another 10 minutes (or until slightly browned).
- 4. Let cool and serve. Enjoy!
- Classic seasoning: sprinkle Himalayan pink mineral salt & black pepper
- Sweet seasoning: a dash of cinnamon, salt, & nutmeg
- Savory seasoning: mix up some cumin, paprika, and a dash of salt
