Have you ever thrown an aromatherapy party?
These get-togethers are an awesome avenue for sharing all the fun ways you can use essential oils with friends and family. They’re a great idea to have on a Saturday night or Sunday afternoon, or even to incorporate into a bridal shower, holiday, or birthday celebration.
It doesn’t take much to throw the ultimate aromatherapy party, so we’re sharing our favorite ideas and tips to make this one scent-sational soiree!
The Preparation
Before any great party, we need to buckle down and prepare. Stock up on your favorite essential oils (we recommend grabbing a starter kit for a great deal on the most popular oils!), and get carrier oils, mixing bottles, spray bottles, funnels, and pipet droppers. Depending on what projects you want to do (we’ll give some great ideas with how-to’s below), be sure to grab specialty items like beeswax, empty lip balm tubes, inhaler sticks, or roll-ons.
Oh, and what’s a good party without snacks? Stock up on healthy finger foods to put out like nuts, seeds, and dried fruit!
The Setup
Okay, so you have your supplies, your guest list, and your snacks at the ready. Time to set up!
Display your essential oils so your guests can smell-test and find the ones they want to use in their project. Print out a few copies of our Beginner’s Guide to Aromatherapy (download PDF here) and our Essential Oil Recipe Guide (download PDF here) and place next to the oils. You can even have diffusers going throughout your house with your favorite scents to give your guests inspiration! Be sure to print out instructions for the projects you want to set up and place them next to the DIY stations in your house.
